Čeladná is a picturesque village in the heart of the Moravian-Silesian Beskydy Mountains. It is surrounded by the peaks of Ondřejník, Smruk, Malá and Velká Stolová, and also Lysá hora. The history of the village probably dates back to the 15th century, but the first written mention comes from 1581, when it is listed in the land register of the Hukvaldy estate. According to legend, the name of the village comes from the word “čeládka” – i.e. the servants who came to Hukvaldy.

Čeladná – the heart
Beskydy, peace and nature

As of January 1, 2025, the village of Čeladná had 2,931 inhabitants
Today, Čeladná is a popular place for relaxation and active holidays. Here you will find beautiful, sometimes untouched nature, the picturesque valley of the Čeladná River, streams and rivers with crystal clear water. The village offers ideal conditions for a family holiday, a weekend for two or an active stay with friends.
In recent years, Čeladná has experienced significant development. A new square with apartments and shops has grown in the center, and the Beskydy Rehabilitation Center and the modern Lara Wellness have continued the spa tradition from 1902. Thanks to the top 36-hole golf course, Čeladná is one of the most visited places in North Moravia.

The story of the plot
Čeladná 249:

Čeladná 249 is a place with more than a century of history, which has always been associated with hospitality, good food and drink. The original building from 1908 underwent a demanding renovation and was reopened in December 2016. Today, Na Rozcestí Restaurant offers traditional Czech cuisine in a cozy and pleasant environment.

In 2020, we renovated the second floor with a hall for social events and the third floor with eight original themed rooms.

“Address with a story – Čeladná 249”

Now we are preparing another significant step, in the gardens around Rozcestí we plan to build Mövenpick Resort & Apartments Čeladná, which will be designed for lovers of comfort and quality.

Thanks to the connection with the Accor group, the project will have access to an international network, professional experience and global hospitality standards. Guests will thus receive a unique combination of local atmosphere and the quality assurance of a world-renowned brand. From elegant apartments to a world-class spa with a breathtaking view of the Beskydy peaks – Čeladná 249 will become a place where the heart of the Beskydy nature connects with the international standards of the Swiss brand Mövenpick, which is synonymous with tradition, detail and comfort.

The opening of the resort is planned for Easter 2028.

Václav Havel
Bench

A symbol of democracy and dialogue.

The bench with serial number 33 from 2019 is located in the premises of the Na Rozcestí Restaurant. The Václav Havel Bench is a memorial site dedicated to Václav Havel. It consists of two armchairs connected by a round table with a tree growing through its center. The construction of the Václav Havel Benches is a global project initiated by the Czech Ambassador to the USA, Petr Gandalovič, together with the architect and designer Bořek Šípek.

The aim of this project is to create a network of places in public space that can contribute to meetings and real dialogue.
